How to choose pos cash drawers

  • Width — 410mm fits most standard counters. 460mm gives more bill positions for high-denomination-count currencies or busy tills.
  • Tray layout — Count the denominations you actually handle. Adjustable dividers let one drawer serve several markets.
  • Opening method — Printer-driven opening via RJ11 is the standard POS setup — the receipt printer triggers the drawer. Verify your printer has a drawer port.
  • Durability — A 1.5-million-cycle rating is the practical minimum for a till opened hundreds of times a day.

Frequently asked questions

How does the drawer open?

The POS software tells the receipt printer to send a pulse down its RJ11 cash-drawer port, which releases the latch. A manual key override is fitted for end-of-day.

Will it work with my printer?

If your receipt printer has a cash-drawer (RJ11/RJ12) port, yes. Send us the printer model and we will confirm.

Can I choose the colour?

Yes — colour options are available, and OEM covers custom finishes.
