This policy explains how NETBYE Technology Co., Limited ("NETBYE", "we", "us") collects and uses personal information when you visit netbye.com or contact us about our products.
Who we are
NETBYE Technology Co., Limited is a manufacturer and supplier of POS hardware, registered in Hong Kong. We sell to businesses — distributors, system integrators and retailers. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

What we collect
Information you give us
When you submit an enquiry form, email us, or message us on WhatsApp, we receive whatever you choose to send — typically your name, company, email address, phone number, country, and the details of your enquiry.
Information collected automatically
When you browse the site we automatically receive:
- Device and browser information, operating system and screen size
- IP address and approximate location derived from it
- Pages viewed, time on page, scroll depth, and links or buttons clicked
- The site or search engine that referred you
Session recording
We use Microsoft Clarity, which records how visitors interact with pages — mouse movement, scrolling and clicks — and produces heatmaps and session replays. This helps us find pages that confuse people. Clarity masks text input by default, and we do not use it to identify individuals.
Why we use it
- To answer enquiries — prepare quotes, confirm specifications, arrange samples and shipping
- To operate the site — keep it secure and functioning
- To improve the site — understand which pages are useful and which are not
- To meet legal and accounting obligations where applicable
Where the GDPR applies, our lawful bases are: legitimate interests (responding to business enquiries, site security, analytics), performance of a contract (fulfilling an order), and legal obligation (record keeping).
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf:
- Shopify — hosts this store and processes site and order data
- Google Analytics 4 — site usage measurement
- Microsoft Clarity — heatmaps and session replay
- WhatsApp (Meta) — if you choose to contact us that way, your message is processed under Meta's terms
- Shipping and payment providers — where needed to fulfil an order
We may also disclose information where required by law.
International transfers
We are based in Hong Kong and our service providers operate globally. Your information may therefore be processed outside your country, including outside the EEA and the UK. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
How long we keep it
Enquiry correspondence is kept for as long as needed to serve the business relationship and to meet legal and accounting requirements, then deleted. Analytics data is retained according to the settings of the services named above.
